Travis Bruffy, an offensive lineman for Texas Tech, wore a simple plated bracelet with the coordinates for St. Paul's Cathedral in London. His girlfriend, from London, bought it for him as a keepsake to remember her by when she moved to work in New York City.

"I wear the bracelet every day, every occasion, and only take it off for practice," Bruffy said. "The bracelet also doubles as a promise of my commitment to her and our relationship."

Other players wore necklaces they bought themselves at a mall kiosk or with friends. Sam Tecklenburg, an offensive lineman for Baylor, bought his bolo tie off of eBay after he saw someone wearing one at a wedding he attended last year. He liked the style enough to adopt it himself and found one with a pendant in the shape of Texas for a few dollars online.
