ADDED: According to the L.A. Times, "Mrs. Doubtfire" is getting a sequel: After more than 20 years, Chicago native comic/actor Robin Williams will be dusting off the floral-print dress, silvery wig and latex mask.
Fox 2000 is developing a follow-up to the 1993 comedy hit, with Williams and director Chris Columbus attached to return, according to the Hollywood Reporter. David Berenbaum, who wrote the Christmas comedy "Elf," will pen the new "Doubtfire" script.

The original "Mrs. Doubtfire" starred Williams as a struggling San Francisco actor and recently divorced dad who dressed up as a Scottish nanny to be closer to his kids.
The film, which also starred Sally Field as the ex-wife of Williams' character and Pierce Brosnan as her new beau, raked in $219 million domestically and $222 million more internationally, becoming the second-highest grossing film of the year after "Jurassic Park."

"Doubtfire" also won an Oscar for makeup and two Golden Globes, for best motion picture comedy or musical and lead actor in a comedy or musical.

Since the film's release, Williams' roles have included an Oscar-winning turn in "Good Will Hunting," but Doubtfire remains one of his most memorable characters.

We wonder why it has taken so long to do a sequel and why is one being done? Maybe its because he hasnt had a hit film since The Birdcage almost 10 years ago and then his CBS sitcom "The Crazy Ones" is on the bubble and may not return for a second season in the fall.

Hmm, well as they say money talks. Plus,

we are sure taping The Soul Man and

Why did Donald Sterling's jump off tape his controversial comments? Why did it take a tape for people to realize his racial antics? And why did he play the cancer card now that he is about to lose ownership of The Clippers? Why are people salty that The Clippers players played ball for after the story broke? Why did the L.A. chapter of the NAACP was still rying  to give Sterling a Lifetime Achievement award? Why did Floyd Mayweather post a pic on Instagram of his ex lady's sonogram of the twins she aborted? And why are folk trippin that Nelly has been seen hanging with Mayweather's ex?  Why does Pebbles think suing Viacom for 40 million over the TLC movie will change people's perception of her? Why did that  NBA basketball player steal those crab legs from he grocery store? Why is Mariah Carey trying to compete with Beyonce's digital album? And Why did American Idol have the contestants  vote on whether to send one home or send two home the next week?
