My Experience with Lakme Lip Love Lip Care Caramel 22 Hour Moisture SPF 15:
Lakme has changed the packaging and formula in this Lip care range. The pack looks funky with all lip prints. It comes in a color-coded light brown candy printed cardboard paper packaging. It looks so attractive. Actual lip balm comes in the same color plastic tube, with brown lip prints all over it. Cap is safe to carry and it shuts well.
The shade “Caramel” looks like a light brown shade in the bullet and on my lips it looks like a very natural light peachy brown shade. Shade is perfectly matched with its name Caramel. It acts as a perfect n*de lip balm on my skin tone. I love such natural shade that looks perfect at any place. Also, the shade is decently pigmented as lip balm and can hide pigmented lips nicely. It doesn’t contain any shimmers, so it is a favourite shade of mine.
Texture of this lip balm is very smooth and creamy that glides easily on lips. Lakme have given up the creamy core formula. The lip balm is of all brown colour with buttery texture which provides a smooth even application. It gives a nice tint to my lips. If I layer it up, it looks glossier and shiny. The tint looks cute and it gives a healthy glow to lips. As it’s a caramel variant, it smells like the yummiest caramel. I love its smell.
The formula is very light and smooth that doesn’t feel sticky. It instantly provides soft smooth hydrated lips. It heals my dry lips and makes them soft and healthy. This is good for all type of lips that nicely provides hydration to dry chapped lips. It makes lips soft from inside and that’s why it never feels dry even after a long time. Hydration is definitely better than the older version that repairs my lips too. It also has SPF 15, which protects my lips from sun. The color does settle in fine lines. Since it is a lip balm, it does transfer; still it never goes away from lips. The 22 hour staying claim is not true.
This lip balm stays long on lips for around 5-6 hours and it keeps lips soft, even after the tint fades away. As the color is very natural light one, it can’t be that noticeable after 3 hours, but the softness retains on my lips for long. Since it is a lip balm, it can’t survive a lunch properly, still it can nicely survive normal snacks. But, my lips still feel soft after a lunch. It a nice daily wear lip balm, even during winter.
It is very rare to find an actual nude lip balm, so I am very happy to have it. It looks very pretty on lips. Also, it works perfectly on my lips as a good hydrating lip balm that keeps lips soft for long. I feel that Lakme has improved their old formula and these new lip loves are better moisturizing and long-lasting with pretty shades.
